Coca-Cola klang im chinesischen etwa wie Kou-ke-kou-la, was je nach Dialekt "Ein durstiger Mund und ein Mund voller Kerzenwachs" oder "ein weibliches Pferd, mit Kerzenwachs gefüllt" bedeutete. Coca-Cola bewies jedoch Lernfähigkeit und änderte die phonetische Übersetzung in Ke-kou-ke-le, was immer noch nach Coca-Cola klingt, aber nun "schmackhaft und glücklich" bedeutet.
